This programme was developed for a night concert and premiered at the Trigonale Festival in 2014, an Early Music Festival in southern Austria. It is inspired by the song of a nightingale and by four composers – Antoine Forqueray, Giramolo Frescobaldi, Bellerofonte Castaldi and Tobias Hume – who are spinning a nocturnal spider web through the programme.
The performance included the world premiere of the, for this programme commissioned piece by Tristan Schulze – Sonett Nr. 8
Programme for Soprano, recorder, theorbo/lute and viola da gamba.
